On the occasion of its tenth anniversary, the Council of Religions is organising a first ‘Annual Conference of Religious Leaders’. The event will be held in the fourth week of September to coincide with the United Nations’ International Day of Peace (September 21st).The event, which is expected to become the biggest annual gathering of all faith leaders of Mauritius, will highlight the achievements of the Council of Religions over the past year. It will also be an occasion where faith leaders, political leaders, foreign dignitaries and leaders of the private sector will get the opportunity to interact with social actors and members and the civil society.
The Vice President of the Republic, His Excellency Mr Paramasivum Pillay Vyapoory, G.O.S.K, will be the guest of honour.
